Carolina Sandova & Kengi: Hummingbird on Petal Woodcarving

This delicate hummingbird sculpture, carved by Kengi Santos and painted by Carolina Sandoval, captures the lightness and energy of the tiny bird in mid-flight. Perched elegantly on a pedestal base resembling a petal, the hummingbird rises upward with its wings spread wide, its long, slender beak pointed forward as if reaching for nectar.

The carving is dynamic and fluid, its curves giving a true sense of motion. Carolina’s painting elevates the form into a radiant vision: brilliant purples, fiery oranges, and luminous greens flow across the wings and body, layered with intricate featherlike patterns and geometric designs.
