The item is considered accepted by the buyer the if the buyer does not notify us of a problem about the item within 5 days of having received it.
In the case of our wood carvings, buyer understands that these wood carvings are made by hand, by folk artists from Oaxaca Mexico, that may or may not have quality control of the materials they use, including but not limited to the paints or the wood they use for carving and the problems it may present in the future( for example but not limited to wood boring insects or fading of the paint…freezing the carvings is recommended). Please DO NOT leave the woodcarvings packed in bubble wrap or plastic because this may damage the pieces.
Inside Mexico Sandia makes every effort to select the highest quality of wood carvings available from these artists.
These wood carvings are collectible decorative objects not intended to be used by or handled by children.
In the event that we fail to describe an imperfection (such as a smudge, chip, scratch) of the item, the buyer has 5 days after receiving the item to notify us and may return it, in the same condition as received for refund of the full purchase price. The buyer shall be responsible for shipping and insurance charges incurred by us when shipping said item and costs of returning it to us. If the item was on layaway there will be a 10% re-stocking fee.
We accept commissions on most of our pieces. We require a 20% deposit which is non-refundable if the piece is not bought when ready. The piece will be as similar in quality, form and coloring as the original piece.
Please remember that no handmade work is absolutely perfect, which is contrary to machine made products. (The latter being absolutely inferior in every aspect).

We ship Worldwide (except to Mexico) through USPS Priority Mail Insured or FedEx . It will take approximately 5 business days for you to receive your order if in the US. If shipped outside the US , we will send you an estimate of shipping costs, after you submit your order. International Orders may require more time to arrive. All orders are shipped and insured by the carrier.
International buyers shall be responsible for all customs duties their home country imposes. If the items are damaged while inspected in customs, customer shall assume responsibility and proceed with the carrier for an insurance claim if applicable. Seller will not be held responsible for such damage. (It is important to note that thankfully we have never had such damage occur).
We professionally pack all our items.
First, each is carefully “Bubble-Wrapped” and then individually packed in a rigid carton box. We further protect the piece with cushioning material (Instapack©, paper, foam pads or “peanuts”) inside the box on all sides of the item.
All packing materials are new and clean.
