This beautiful piece combines traditional amate painting and bark paper weaving. The handcrafted bark paper is made in San Pablito,Puebla, in Mexico using ancient pre-Columbian methods of paper making. At the center of the piece, there are colorful handpainted peacocks.The off-white paper strips are woven individually when the paper is still wet. Beautiful!
