Beloved Mama Coco paper mache sculpture. This wonderful figure is very well crafted. The face of the abuelita is impressive. She is sitting in her wheelchair with her beautiful dress! Mexico City is the Mecca of Cartoneria (papier mache and wire) figures. It was there that the name Alebrije was first used to describe these fantastic sculptures.
