This amazing one-piece anteater sculpture was created by woodcarving artist Nicolas Morales. The form of the figure is so well carved and graceful. The body language is superb. This oso hormiguero is delicately painted with Nicolas' classic ancient codex style symbols such as eagles, cranes, and Native Americans. The tail is particularly impressive, painted to give a beautiful braided effect. Wonderful!
