This is a house mouse mid-scuttle, caught in the exact posture that has been making humans jump on chairs for thousands of years. The pose is completely convincing. The whiskers, just a few bare wire strands springing forward from the snout, seal the deal.
The body is Cristo at his most tactile: dense, looped copper mesh, individual coils tumbling over one another like rumpled fur, warm brown and golden where the light catches beneath. The ears are two small, flat ovals, slightly lighter in tone. Two dark bead eyes, alert and so expressive.
