Cristo Escamilla's curious ratón has heard something. Both hind feet planted, front paws raised and curled, nose lifted, this is a mouse on full alert, caught in the classic rearing posture that rodents use to assess a threat. Whether to run or stay has not yet been decided.
The raised forepaws are impressive, each tiny finger curved and distinct, with the slightly dramatic quality of an animal bracing for something.
It is a little wire animal, so well proportioned and expressive!
