The sculpted cut-out lip is one of the most striking features of this olla. Instead of a simple round opening, Mirna carves the rim into a flowing, “S” shape that seems to spiral into the pot. The curved edges are perfectly smoothed, so the negative space becomes part of the design, almost like a river of light cutting through the dense patterning below.
The contrast between the crisp white background and the rich red-and-black patterning gives the olla a striking, almost optical effect, at once traditional and very modern.
