This good-luck baby elephant is pure joy in miniature. Veronica Calvo carved this tiny elephant with its trunk proudly raised — a traditional symbol of fortune and protection — and then dressed it in a rainbow of purples, pinks, blues, and lime green. Every side is covered with finely painted geometric patterns that look like a little patchwork quilt of Oaxacan designs.
