This spectacular Quetzalcoatl otter sculpture was created by woodcarving artist Nicolas Morales. The form of the figure is so well carved and graceful. The body language and facial expression are superb. This otter is delicately painted with Nicolas' classic ancient codex style symbols such as the mythical plumed serpents, Quetzalcoatl. The tail is particularly impressive, painted to give a beautiful braided effect. Magnificent!
