Miguel Santiago considered by some the finest wood carver in Oaxaca, is well known for his superb figures. He has developed a style of his own, paying particular attention to the faces of his subjects. The eyes are not only painted but carved as well, each tooth is perfectly formed and colored and the ears always have a special theme. This spectacular standing cheetah carving, is a great example of Miguel's art.
