Magdaleno Fabian: One-Piece Old Campesina With Her Animals

Fantastic woman farmer, campesina, with her animals woodcarving by Magdaleno Fabian. This marvelous figure is a one-piece intricate sculpture. It features an old lady with braided hair surrounded by her animals. A rooster, a bull and a loyal dog! The woman's dress is beautifully painted featuring a Zapotec fretwork design. Her arms and face have body paint decorations,for example the eagle on her arm. As you can see Magadaleno is one of the top Master Carvers in Oaxaca and this is an impressive work of art!
