Luis Pablo: Wall Hanging Tzompantli Skulls & Butterflies

Unique wall-hanging Tzompantli of skull masks and butterflies by top Oaxaca artist Luis Pablo. A tzompantli is an Aztec word that means a collection of skulls. Luis Pablo individually carved 8 different skulls, each with a different coloring, size, and design. The sugar-skulls and 6 monarch butterflies are set on a special, hand-made gold-colored wood frame that Luis Pablo created for them.  A stunning and innovative piece by a great Oaxaca artist.
