Unique pre-Columbian Moon Rabbit wood medallion by top Oaxaca artist Luis Pablo. This wonderful piece is a one-piece woodcarving. Luis Pablo carved each element creating different basrelief levels. The piece is inspired by a Native American legend about a rabbit that wanted to ride the moon. The rabbit is perfectly carved and is symbolically cradled by the blue moon and three colored clouds. At the back of the rabbit is the star-filled sky!
