Wonderful one-piece alligator wood carving by top Oaxaca artist Luis Pablo. This contemporary alligator has an individually carved butterfly at the top of its nose. The form of this piece is so unique, angular, and perfectly carved. The back of the alligator has bas-relief details. The painted design resembles tiles, reminiscent of Barcelona's iconic artist Antoni Gaudi's style. Take a look at the perfectly carved little teeth. Superb!
