This beautifully colored olla is by the late Mata Ortiz artist Leonel Quezada. Leonel was the son of Master Potter Nicolas Quezada and the nephew of the famous Juan Quezada. He inherited his family's exceptional talent. We acquired this olla a few weeks before Leonel's untimely death and decided it wasn't the right time to sell it. This stunning pot is expertly formed and painted with the delicate line work and beauty for which the Quezadas were known. It is a true treasure!
