Laura Bugarini is the most recognized and awarded female potter in Mata Ortiz today. She is the creator of what is known as the Bugarini style consisting of minute perfectly painted symbol like design. Her pots are very sought after by collectors and due to the incredible amount of time that goes into creating her ollas, there are very few opportunities for purchasing one. This little olla is spectacular, impressively formed to perfection and decorated with the smallest details I have ever seen. No wonder Laura Bugarini has won so many national and international awards, including the National Award for Ceramic Art, awarded by the President of Mexico.
