Javier Martinez and his wife Gaby created this beautiful Day of the Dead themed olla. It is a night view of Mata Ortiz' graveyard. The etched skeletons and tombs are dedicated to some of the top Mata Ortiz potters that have passed away such as Nicolas Quezada, Chevo Ortiz, Martha Ponce.... There are owls and rabbits and the moon! As you can see, it is a festive portrayal of one of Mexico's most important celebrations, The Day of the Dead.
