Huichol: Sitting Giraffe

Beautiful sitting giraffe figure created by the Huichol people of Mexico. The Wixárika or Huichol people are the masters of beaded art in Mexico and arguably the world. Beads are painstakingly placed one by one over the wax or glue areas that have been prepared for beading. This gorgeous giraffe has a wonderful decorated design of peyote flowers, arrows, and maize plant in addition to a  great coloring.
