Huichol: Contemporary Day of the Dead Skull

Fantastic contemporary Huichol skull decorated with beautiful glass beads in black and white colors.   This stunning skull has a beaded design of mystical peyote scorpions and deer. To the Huichol people, the deer was considered a messenger from God.

The Wixárika or Huichol people are the masters of beaded art in Mexico and arguably the world. Beads are painstakingly placed one by one over the wax areas that have been prepared for beading.
