Very nice small olla by top Mata Ortiz artist Elias Pe–a. This pot is an experimental olla Elias made to later create a larger piece. The simple design is beautiful, with square designs with Native American bands adorning it. The pot has Elias trademark, asymmetrical cut out designs. The painting on the bottom of the pot is a bit rough although it certainly doesn't detract from the beauty of this olla. A lovely affordable piece by one of the most talented potters in Mata Ortiz today.
