Gorgeous oval shaped olla by Mata Ortiz artist Eli Ortiz. Eligio "Eli" is the son of the late Master Potter Chevo Ortiz. Eli is following the tradition of the famous Ortiz family, creating wonderful graphite black-on-black ollas. Eli has won numerous awards for his black-on-black ollas, most recently in the 2022 yearly Concurso de Mata Ortiz. This beautiful pot is decorated with complex fretwork and little square designs!
