Eli Ortiz: Black on Black Mata Olla

Eli Ortiz created this stunning black-on-black geometric convex pot. He is a second-generation Mata Ortiz potter whose father, Eduardo Chevo Ortiz, was the first to develop turbinos, swirls, and convex ollas. His uncle, Macario, is credited with one of the most influential innovations in Mata Ortiz: the graphite technique.  It's a wonderful piece.
