Eli Ortiz is a second generation Mata Ortiz potter. His famous father was Nicolas Ortiz who first developed the turbinos, swirls, ollas. His uncle Macario is credited with one of the most influential innovations in Mata Ortiz, the graphite technique. This beautiful pot by Eli incorporates both outstanding features.
