Martin Melchor is something of a legend in San Martín Tilcajete, and animals on bikes, taxis, and libraries are his calling card. He has a wonderful sense of humor and a beautiful soul.
This giraffe is a fine example of why people love his work so much: dressed in an orange-and-green striped jersey, green shorts, and blue sneakers, pedaling away with complete confidence on a purple-and-red bicycle, it is impossible to look at without smiling.
