Gopher with its baby effigy by Mata Ortiz artist Tomas Quintana. Tomas is an exceptional artist that learned the trade all by himself. He lives with his family in the neighboring village and by experimentation he was able to create wonderful Mata Ortiz figures. Today he creates some of the most beautiful sculptures in Mata Ortiz.
