Eli Ortiz is a second-generation Mata Ortiz potter. His famous father was Eduardo Chevo Ortiz who first developed the turbines, swirls, ollas. His uncle Macario is credited with one of the most influential innovations in Mata Ortiz pottery, the graphite technique. This time he created a very nice stylized olla with an innovative fish lip.
