Absolutely magnificent Huichol yarn dog handmade by Wixarikas artists Amelia Bautista and Celestino Carrillo. Each colored yarn is placed one by one over a thin layer of Campeche wax creating a stunning design. The yarn paintings and beaded objects made today reflect the rich traditional patterns used for centuries to represent and communicate with the gods. This magnificent dog has many traditional Huichol symbols such as the sun, Eyes of God, Peyote flowers, Maize plants, lizards and flowers.
