Splendid, little fierce leopard byOaxaca artist Lidio Fuentes. This figure is very well carved; you can sense its fierceness and the vigilance, the protection of its territory. Its face is so expressive, you can almost hear the leopardo's deep roar. Take a look at the curving tail. The painting and coloring are superb. I like the combination of the natural rosettes with the stylized fretwork.
